Celebrate the Diversity of LGBTQ+ People
Your organisation will demonstrate its enthusiastic celebration of LGBTQ+ people across diverse backgrounds and intersecting marginalisations by actively ensuring they are openly valued and provided equal access to opportunities.
Challenge Anti-LGBTQ+ Behaviour
Your organisation will take appropriate action against people who perpetrate hate speech, hate crimes, prejudice or discrimination against an LGBTQ+ person or people, including those across intersecting marginalisations. Anti-LGBTQ+ behaviour also includes assumptions and beliefs that contribute to the social erasure or ostracisation of LGBTQ+ people.
Fair Recruitment Procedures
Your organisation is committing to fostering a diverse workforce at every level through open and fair recruitment and promotional procedures, and will develop, support and train all staff to work in ways that are consistent with equality and inclusion principles and practices.
Ensure Inclusive Services
Developing and providing services that can be used by a diverse range of LGBTQ+ people is vital to equality. Regular monitoring and reviewing of your services should involve diverse LGBTQ+ communities and ensure your organisation provides barrier-free access and an equally good service experience to all LGBTQ+ people.
Implement Policies and Decision Making Standards
You commit to the implementation of specific policies for LGBTQ+ inclusion and to review any existing policies to ensure that they support all LGBTQ+ people across intersecting marginalisations. It is vital that your organisation ensures that its decision making supports the principles and values of the All Equals Charter.
Work with Partners
Your organisation will work with stakeholders and partners to encourage and support them to implement intersectional LGBTQ+ inclusion practices, including adopting the All Equals Charter and sharing best practice and learning from other Charter Signatories.
Track and Report on Progress
This means taking action all year round to implement the Charter’s principles and values in your organisation by reporting on progress and making it available to partners, services users/customers and other stakeholders.
Contribute to the Modern Pride Movement
Pride is a global movement for intersectional LGBTQ+ liberation. To support the movement, your organisation commits to providing tangible and measurable year-round support for external, intersectional LGBTQ+ groups, organisations and initiatives, and agrees not to promote or fund any anti-LGBTQ+ individuals or groups.
