LGBT History Month is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the queer liberation and related civil rights movements.
To help business and organisation observe LGBT History month and engage their employees, Manchester Pride All Equals Charter team have created a educational talk. Delivered by one of our equality, diversity and inclusion expert, the session promises to leave you knowing more about some of the lesser known history, key moments in the UK's LGBTQ+ history and the opportunities to make history.
Let’s Make History: The Past and Present of LGBTQ+ Liberation will bring to life the stories of LGBTQ+ people across time and their innovative endeavours overcoming hate, resisting oppression and creating joy.
By the end of this 45 minute session attendees will learn the reasons many LGBTQ+ people have been erased or forgotten from history, some key moments in the UK’s LGBTQ+ history and the opportunities that exist today for us each to make history as we continue to fight for LGBTQ+ liberation.
