2022 was a year of change for Manchester Pride. Following our biggest ever consultation, we had a clear picture of exactly what the priorities of our diverse LGBTQ+ communities were. We continued to put Community, Giving, Transparency and Activism at the heart of everything we do, and undertook an incredible level of co-creation which allowed us to create a Manchester Pride Festival that was bold, queer and inclusive.
The year also brought a return to the much-loved Manchester Pride Parade, for the first year since before the COVID-19 pandemic. 2022 also brought the return of our Grants programme, which saw us start to distribute the £120,062.38 raised from all of our amazing supporters who purchased Gay Village Party tickets. This has allowed us to support some fantastic LGBTQ+ initiatives in Greater Manchester through the Manchester Pride Community Fund, Local Pride Fund and the Superbia Queer Arts Fund.
