Manchester Pride’s Community Sessions aim to platform issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community by bringing together professionals, those with lived experience and members of the community to learn, discuss, share resources and celebrate the diverse LGBTQ+ community that makes Manchester a brilliant place to live.
This month, we will dive deep into a topic that's often misunderstood and marginalised within the LGBTQ+ community – Kink at Pride.
We will be discussing what has become 'allowed' at Pride, and how palatable a group has to be to cisgender/heteronormative society to be seen as acceptable at a Pride event.
About this session
- Doors open at 6pm, and the event takes place from 6:30pm-8pm.
- Community Sessions are open to all LGBTQ+ people and allies.
- All attendees must adhere to our Humanity Pledge whilst in attendance at Manchester Pride events, and we ask you to be mindful and considerate of the space you are in when in attendance at our events.
- Spaces at each session are limited, so please make sure you sign up to reserve your free place.
