Join like minded individuals as Manchester Pride brings together a diverse group of people to learn, discuss, celebrate and share resources.
Manchester Pride’s
Community Sessions aim to platform issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community by bringing together professionals, those with lived experience and members of the community to learn, discuss, share resources and celebrate the diverse LGBTQ+ community that makes Manchester a brilliant place to live.
About the Session
Join us for this month’s Community Session that explores being LGBTQ+ and sober/sober curious.
LGBTQ+ people are more than twice as likely to use alcohol hazardously compared to our heterosexual counterparts, but there's less support for our community for people wanting to go sober, or who are sober curious!
Join Manchester Pride and Karl Constantine, founder of Turn Up Together, to meet other LGBTQ+ sober and sober curious people, find out what support is available, learn more about others' sober journey and hold an open and honest discussion around being LGBTQ+ and sober.
At a Manchester Pride Community Event, you can expect...
Engaging Discussions: Connect with people from all over Greater Manchester and learn from the lived experience and knowledge of community members living in Manchester.
Guest Speakers: Learn from the experiences of community members, artists and activists.
Networking Opportunities: Meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for creating a united community and wider understanding of marginalised communities in Greater Manchester. Exchange ideas, collaborate on initiatives, and explore potential partnerships.
Have a voice and be heard! We're opening up the floor for attendees to share their perspectives and experiences. Your voice matters, and we welcome anyone who is educated or has lived experience to share their knowledge.
