BBC Radio 1’s King of Pop, Dean McCullough, is taking fans on a pop music journey this year with his brand new DJ show - Dean McCullough’s Pop Machine.
The acclaimed broadcaster promises a set packed with the biggest pop hits from the 80s, right up to the present day. Party people can expect the likes of Girls Aloud, Madonna, Backstreet Boys, Britney, Whitney, Lady Gaga, his self-confessed favourites Steps, and loads more.
Dean McCullough has performed across the UK and Europe, including some of the biggest party hotspots such as Ministry of Sound, O Beach Ibiza, Mighty Hoopla and Ibiza Rocks. He is a staple name at Pride Festivals and Freshers events, known for his high-energy sets and contagious charm. He kicked off 2024 with a huge pop set in the Alps at Snowboxx and is gearing up for the famous BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in May on the Main Stage.
Outside of being a DJ, he has made regular appearances on Celebrity Big Brother: Late and Live, Love Island: Aftersun, Celebability and more. He was awarded ‘Top LGBT+ Broadcaster’ by Attitude Magazine and has collaborated with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Virgin, Moss Bros and Sony.
Speaking about his new Pop Machine live show, Dean said: “It’s no secret I love pop music, so when developing this new show I just had to pay tribute to the greatest and most timeless genre of music there is. There’s nothing guilty about these musical pleasures, and I can’t wait to unite everyone on the dancefloor and go on this musical journey with you all”.
