Join us on Thursday 20th July as we present a series of shorts exploring Transmasculine identities and filmmaking!
With Sparkle Weekend just around the corner, we're spotlighting Transmasculine identities in this month's series of short films. Quite often, heteronormative discourse leaves trans men and Transmasculine identities out of the conversation, and through July's Superbia Cinema programme, we aim to recognise and platform their experiences, artistry and filmmaking expertise.
SCHEDULE:
18:00: Join us at Cultplex and socialise before the screening begins
19:00 - 20:20: Our series of short films, curated by Joshua Hubbard
20:30 - 21:00: Q&A with Jack Goessens

By Sunniva Moen Rørvik
Sunniva Moen Rørvik is a choreographer and dance filmmaker who often plays with humor and queer theory in their choreography work. Using the outdoor space as a calm backdrop to an otherwise chaotic and absurd adventure, this short film challenges viewers as to what dance can be. We meet strange characters with exaggerated movements and gestures, and we find ourselves in an exciting gray area between dance and theatre.
