On Sunday 24th April, we hosted our first Youth Pride MCR Cabaret Show of 2022!
The event showcased fabulous performances by extraordinary talent, and featured live music, drag performances, DJs, craft stations and more.
Youth Pride members have been practising hard and developing special performance pieces before they hit the stage in August for Manchester Pride weekend. The event saw stellar performances from Space Daisy, Iyve MB Bratty, Andromeda Kutoure, Dead Bird and loads more talented artists.
Our Youth Pride MCR Cabaret Show gave our young audience an exclusive preview, and the opportunity to take part in brilliant craft activities, movement workshops, and a meet and greet with Manchester's own Donna Trump!
What is Youth Pride MCR?
Youth Pride MCR is a project by Manchester Pride which aims to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ young people and their allies, by facilitating fun and educational workshops in safe and accessible spaces. Youth Pride MCR hosts regular sessions, where young people aged 14-18 can develop new and existing skills, make friends and explore diverse identities in a safe and supportive setting.
